Ever made a recipe, designed an article of clothing and wondered what may be missing?  Why wasn't it just not coming together like you imagined it would?  You even asked the question, "what's missing"? Well what's missing is our faith.  The blind man by faith without experiencing sight or even seeing with the clay on his eyes, trusted Jesus and followed His command to go and wash.  Our faith is built and strengthened in our obedience to follow the Lord's instruction even if it means going alone, even if we do not have all the parts or all of the details.  Abraham by faith followed God's instruction without a map.  Noah followed God without ever seeing rain and being laughed at and ridiculed by those around him. This blind man by faith went and washed.  Are you willing to go and wash even if it doesn't make sense, and even if it doesn't look like it will work.  

What's missing is your faith.  Add faith to the situation.
