As we navigate this thing called life, as children of God, we learn to discern when we are experiencing a test or temptation. God test us to grow and prove us, however Satan tempts us to draw us away from God and cause us to sin against God by way of our own lusts. There can be test and temptations at the same time. Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit and was tested by God and tempted by Satan. He overcame the test for us and the temptation. Be encouraged to know you and I can overcome tests and temptations through prayer, discipline, humility and submission to Christ and His Word. May we remember we are tempted through the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life.
